David Wood, CEO of My Senior Navigator teamed up with Mike Johnson of Coast Hills Federal Credit Union in San Luis Obispo last week to talk with members about successful ways to communicate with our aging loved ones.
The conversation ranged from how to approach relinquishing car keys, to assisted living and memory care home options, in-home care and the costs and benefits of each. One of the highlights of the presentation was a discussion about how to talk with your loved one about their life and legacy. Participants were given some thoughtful questions to ask themselves and their family member about things they are most proud of in their lives, favorite moments and even some regrets. The people who attended said they were very inspired and were looking forward to sharing the legacy questions with their family.
